MADRAN: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has stated that war against terrorism is the war for the future of Pakistan.

Speaking to media here Saturday, Nisar Ali Khan said, “Those doing politics on war on terrorism are playing with the future of Pakistan.”

“Pakistan has won the major part of war against terrorism. Military, Frontier Corps, Intelligence Agencies and Police together played key role in winning this fight,” Nisar said.

However, he said, there was still a lot of work to be done in this war against terrorism. The facilitators of terrorists were hiding in Pakistan, who are to be wiped out.

The Interior Minister said investigations shows militants involved in the terrorism a day earlier in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were foreigners, however, investigation was underway to ascertain where these militants came from and who were their abettors.

The interior ministry had shared two intelligence reports regarding possible Mardan Kachehri attack with the provincial government, he said.

Nisar said Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants were hiding at the border. Pakistan used to raise this issue with Afghan and US governments, he said.

The minister linked peace in Pakistan with peace in Afghanistan. “If there will be peace in Afghanistan then there will be peace in Pakistan.”
