ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry has decided to deport blacklisted US national Mathew Barret, who was arrested on August 06, from Pakistan.

Sources said permission of the court would be sought for deportation of Mathew on Wednesday. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has received orders of interior ministry in this regard.

Mathew was blacklisted over espionage of nuclear installations in Pakistan and was deported in 2011.

Mathew Barret has stated in the court that he had arrived in Pakistan on visa issued by Pakistani Consulate in Houston. He denied the charges of being spy, saying he was not involved in such activities.
